Emilie Ausseil's internship experience

" The internship was a great first experience."

The process was quick and easy and I am very happy about your service.

My internship was a great first experience.

The pay was little but easy to survive in Spain knowing the difference between France and Spain. The colleagues were amazing and sweet and I got long with them pretty well.

In general, I thought the whole experience was great. My Spanish skills got better, I learned how startups work, I had great time in another country.

Ilze Geke's internship experience

"I would not change these 3 months in Lanzarote for anything else."

Application process was really fast although I did not have chance to have interview directly with someone from the company and information about documentation and NIE was not very helpful, also I had to wait many days to get answers for my emails but the agreement was signed by company and sent back to my very fast.

The job description could have been more detailed but in general everything matched my expectations.

Conditions in the hotel are very good, colleagues and other staff, also in the office, are very helpful and trying to make all interns feel good.

Although my internship is not over yet, it was so far really challenging for me because it was the first time i lived abroad, I had to adapt culture and learn language, but it shaped me a lot and generally I would not change these 3 months in Lanzarote for anything else.

Louise Buckland's internship experience

"It was exactly what I was looking and I have made great contacts and friends."

The application process was pretty straight forward. Spain Internship team was reactive to my emails and any of my questions. They gave me a pretty great selection of internships which seemed to all fit quite well!

My internship was great! I absolutely loved it. My tasks included marketing and customer service, however, because the company manages horizontally, I had the opportunity to do A LOT more, which was perfect - exactly what I needed from the internship. I like a lot of things so the fact that I had the opportunity to try different things and to see what I really liked and what I didn't was great. I now have a clearer idea of what direction I would like to follow after I graduate. They have offered me a job for after I graduate which is great! I have also been offered a part time job away from the company while I am finishing my last year at university. I am teaching English to the Head of HR and doing a few translations of contracts as well as interviewing a few English speakers.

The company is based in 23 countries - representatives from all of which are present in the headquarters, therefore the majority of my colleagues were not Spanish. The atmosphere was incredible and very rare, as every job for each country is based at one table; for example the Italian table has everyone who worked for the Italian market (the magazine editor, the account manager, the customer service, the head of marketing, the event planner etc. ... and this was the same for the French team, the Mexican team, etc. I was the country manager for the UK and the US. Because these were small countries I was the only one in charge of all the positions mentioned above. I had a lot of work and, unfortunately, I was not given the tools to complete them thoroughly as I simply did not have the time. However, I did mention to the Head of HR that we need more people for my team and a few months later they hired two new employees. The conditions were good enough for me to stay! My colleagues were a highlight of my experience.

The company's line of business are weddings and the majority of people who work there are women. I have never met a group of such smart, ambitious, welcoming, wonderful women. They were all so special and slightly older than me (more than 10 years older)  They are such role models and they inspired me in so many ways. They helped me in personal and professional ways. They have also helped me with a project that I have started.

Here is a little more regarding my project. I am quite involved with all types of media at my home University (the radio, the magazine and the TV) and I am keen to find a career within this sector. I am also quite passionate about travelling and education and I have fallen in love with Spain. Most people I have spoken to regarding Erasmus (including some friends not from my university) have all had the same complaint: the university is not present enough and does not help at all to find accommodation or internships abroad. Therefore I wish to create a blog and magazine regarding this. In this "Erasmus" section I am hoping to interview other students who have studied or worked abroad. I am hoping to ask them about the town/city they lived in and why they chose it, their job, their studies and all related information.

I have had a great time with my internship. It was exactly what I was looking and I have made great contacts and friends. Thank you and have a wonderful day! Thank you for your service, you made my search for an internship 100% less stressful and 100% easier than I thought it would be. I have mentioned your services to a few of my friends!

Kirsten van Dommele's internship experience

"I loved my time abroad and enjoyed every minute of it."

The application process went smoother than I expected. I was unfortunately a bit late with sending all the documents, but Spain Internship made it really clear what was expected from me, so all the information was given on time.
The internship exceeded my expectations, I did not expect to get the responsibility that I eventually got from the company. They really encouraged me to get involved and get working on multiple projects. And if I was not having enough to do they would involve me in projects that an intern usually does not get involved with. They really looked at how they could teach me new things.
My colleagues were really nice, we became good friends over time and I went out with them during the weekends to have fun. Also the conditions offered by the company were great! They took take care of me. The office was beautiful and the working conditions were great. I had an hour lunch break and the facilities were perfect. The housing is something that I had to organise by myself but that was not a problem at all.
I loved my time abroad and enjoyed every minute of it. I would really recommend everyone to do 6 months abroad and live in a different place than home. To get the experience of being a residents, get the work experience in a different culture and really learning the region. Spain is beautiful!
